Cómo combinar los colores de temporada AW15

Este año la paleta triunfadora gira alrededor de tonos vino, camel, verde bosque, marsala... Pero ¿cómo combinarlos yendo a la moda sin caer en estridencias?

Aquí  podéis apreciar una muestra de los tonos que tanto vemos en revistas y firmas de moda. Todas estas tonalidades se caracterizan por dos rasgos: no son muy saturadas (no hay mucha cantidad de color, no son chillonas) y juegan en la liga de los tonos medios-oscuros.

Esta paleta, realizada a través de la web paletton.com, nos muestra los tonos combinados en tétrada incluyendo un complementario (los mostaza) al color de referencia (el tono vino).

Estos tonos no siempre son fácilmente "llevables" entre sí y en la misma prenda ya que pueden llegar a cansar visualmente, sin embargo, si los "abrimos" con un color neutro, como el blanco y el negro (o gris), podremos encontrar prendas de vestir infalibles y que se conviertan rápidamente en la primera opción a la hora de elegir outlook frente a nuestro armario.

Una de las nuevas, y por qué no decirlo, arriesgadas apuestas de la firma de moda Victoria Beckham para la temporada SS16 es el Half Moon Bag, un bolso tipo bandolera estructurado, de grandes dimensiones y tal como su nombre indica "con forma de media luna".

Como podéis ver es un bolso que no pasa desapercibido y que es difícil de llevar, sobre todo por sus grandes dimensiones.

Trendy Now: Grommet is the New Stud

En inglés "eyelets" o "grommets" y en español "ojales" o "arandelas" respectivamente, parecen ser una de las subtendencias de colección en esta colección otoño/ invierno en algunas firmas.

Con una función de prevenir el desgarro en tejidos perforados, esta temporada apuntan alto como una de las elementos decorativos que, según revistas especializadas, aspira a reemplazar a las "muy vistas ya" tachuelas. ¿Llegarán a conseguirlo?

Aportan un look atrevido y actual siempre que se utilicen con mesura, como por ejemplo, sólo en una prenda, o como detalle de un look (tiranta de un bolso, sólo alrededor del dobladillo, cuello o como elemento principal en un complemento, como un cinturón).

Algunas firmas españolas están apostando ya por esta tendencia, que acecha sigilosamente a los flecos, la antelina y el terciopelo tan de moda este otoño.

Stradivarius ha sido la más lista de la clase y ha incluido las arandelas (recordad que para eyelets también es válida la acepción de "perforado") combinándolas con la antelina. Una tendencia que me gusta porque introduce este elemento en pequeñas cantidades y dimensiones sin llegar a saturar estéticamente o a hacer una prenda impráctica.

El jueves pasado tuvo lugar a la presentación de la colección de primavera de Olga Herrera, Olyott Tocados, "Así soy yo".

Aunque estudió Derecho por la Universidad de Sevilla, a Olga Herrera siempre le gustó el diseño. Reconoce no saber coser, pero sí haber personalizado prendas de vestir: "He customizado mi ropa siempre, he quitado y añadido cosas a mis vestidos, he cambiado vivos, añadidos pasamanería, he puesto adornos...siempre reciclando".
Although she studied Laws in the University of Seville, Olga Herrera always liked designing. She claims not to know how to sew, but she has personalized garments before: "I have always customized my clothes, I have removed and added things, I have changed outer bands, added some braids, put some ornaments...always recycling!".

Stewart Weir: espíritu y talento.

Hay veces en las que belleza es bipolar. Hay veces en las que la obsesión por captar la luz, deja en un segundo plano a la sombra. Cuando luz y sombra cohabitan dando lugar a un espacio de ambiente, de atmósfera capturada, entonces  podemos apreciar el verdadero valor de la fotografía artística.

Holy Preppy: The Bow Collection.

Holy Preppy es de esas firmas abiertamente pijas, sin complejos. Acaban de sacar su colección de SS11, y la han llamado "The Bow Collection". La colección del lazo (¿hay algo más piji que un lazo, por Dior?).
Holy Preppy is one of those openly posh fashion brand, without any hussle. They have just uploaded their SS11 collection called "The Bow Collection". The collection of the bow (is there anything more posh than a bow?).

Esta colección es más veraniega que otra cosa, es fresca y abundan los colores blancos, beige y rosa pastel. Dejan la puerta muy abierta al momento denim.
This collection is more apt for summer than anything else, it is fresh and the main colours are white, beige and soft pink. They have left a door open to the denim attitude.


Tienen camisetas y chaquetas muy monas, como esta que luce la clónica de Letizia Ortiz. They have very nice shirts and jackets, like this one, worn by a clone of Letizia Ortiz.

Vestidos con estampados florales, muy naïve. Eso sí, ni penséis en llevar sujetador. Dresses in floral prints, very naïve. Don't even consider the idea of wearing a bra.

Inspiración/ Inspiration: Sonia Rykiel

La colección SS 2011 de Sonia Rykiel se ha basado en la mezcla de colores con el camel como protagonista. Ya hemos pasado la fiebre del camel este año, pero lo que Rykiel ha conseguido es darle vida a un color, que pese a ser combinable, en ciertas tonalidades es triste y poco favorecedor.
Su paleta ha estado llena de coral, amarillo vainilla, negro, rosa y azul klein. Me ha encantado cómo ha mezclado el rojo con el rosa madreselva, colores tradicionalmente "incompatibles".

The SS collection by Sonia Rykiel has been based on the mixture of colours with camel as the protagonist. We have been through the camel fever last winter, but what Rykiel has achieved is to bring life to a colour, that, despite of being easy to combine, is sometimes dull and not very flattering.
Her palette has been full of coral, vanilla yellow, black and klein blue. I love how she matched the red with the honeysuckle, hues traditionally "incompatible".

Hace unos años (¿dos?) que me compré para una boda un vestido monísimo de Mango, drapeado en color verde hoja. /A few years ago (two?) I bought a very nice dress by Mango for a wedding, draped in teal colour.

Ahora tengo otra boda y estoy buscando ideas y modelos por Internet. Estoy encontrando de todo un poco, vestidos blancos (por protocolo no se debe ir del mismo color que la novia, por lo que pudiera pasar), complicados (hablaremos de ellos más adelante) y sobre todo, drapeados y fruncidos.
Now I have been invited to another wedding and I am searching for ideas and models over the Internet. I have found a little bit of everything, white dresses (according to the protocol you cannot wear in white as the bride, because of what may happen), complicated (we will talk about them sometime) and most of all, draped and ruched.

No creo que opte por esta opción (de nuevo) pero para las que vais a eventos esta primavera, hagamos una recopilación de tendencias. I do not think I will make the same choice (again) but for those who are attending to events this spring, here we have made a compilation of trends.

Las propuestas de Lanvin están claras, drapeados por todos sitios, en tejidos con brillo. Drapeados recogidos en nudo, en cascada, etc. /Lanvin proposals are clear, draped everywhere in shiny fabrics. Draped in knots, in cascade, etc.

Otra opción es combinar el drapeado con escote asimétrico (escote Diana). Hay que tener cuidado porque el drapeado aumenta el volumen, evitadlo si tenéis las caderas muy anchas o mucho pecho. Todo lo contrario, si queréis darle vida a un pecho pequeño a las caderas.

Another choice is to combine the draped in an assimetric neck (Diana neck). You must be very careful because the draped increases the size, avoid it if you have very wide hips or large shirt size. On the contrary, use it if you want to enhance these parts.

Empecemos/ Let's start.

Clones: Hervé Léger!!!!

Hoy es uno de esos días de bajón. Pero ha sido llegar a Facebook y cambiarme la cara. Today is one of those grey days. However since I logged in Facebook, I have a much happier look  now.

He pillado otro clon. I have caught another clone.

Resumiendo con el post de ayer: no sé si falta inspiración o los clones llegan a destiempo. Esta vez le ha tocado a Hervé Leger y el mítico vestido de bandas en distintos tonos de gris.
Summarizing today and yesterday's post: I do not know if it is a lack of inspiration or the clones arrive delayed. This time it is Hervé Léger's turn and the mythic bandage dress in a scale of grey tones.

El de la derecha es el clon de Blanco. La verdad es que esta temporada proponen los vestidos de bandas ceñidos.

Sé que me vais a decir que estoy más antigua que el TBO, pero últimamente veo clones de vestidos de temporadas pasadas por todos sitios.
You are going to think that I am totally old-fashioned, but I see clones of last season dresses everywhere.

El encaje no ha terminado de marcharse, como ya sabéis, y yo ando buscando modelito para una boda, y así, entre una cosa y otra, he encontrado dos clones.
Lace is not out of fashion yet, as you know, and I am searching for a nice outfit for a wedding. So, what with one thing and another, I have found two clones.

El de D&G parece que tiene más volumen y es más largo, obviando la calidad del encaje, desde luego.

Segundas Rebajas o rinconcito ordenado?/Further Reductions of Tidy Stands?

Ultimamente le he cogido un poco de manía a las rebajas, ¿qué queréis que os diga?. Va una con toda la ilusión del mundo, buscando el "Santo Grial" del chaquetón caro a mitad de precio, las botas deseadas no-puedo-vivir-sin-ellas y lo que se encuentra es un montón de ropa mezclada, desordenada y falta de tallas. ¿Dónde están esos modelos de Otono/Invierno que se empezaron a  ver en septiembre? ¿esos conjuntos monos?.
Lately, I have taken a dislike to sales, I must admit. You are so excited about them, trying to find the "Holy Grial" of the 50% off cool coat, the must-have and I-can't-live-without pair of boots and what you finally find is a pile of untidy, mixed up clothes and a lack of sizes. Where are those nice FW clothes that you could see in September? Those cute outfits?

Desde hace tiempo pienso que la moda nos la van soltando con cuentagotas, ya tenemos las pre-season y las season, vamos a las tiendas en septiembre (calor infernal todavía, por lo menos en estas latitudes) y te es imposible comprar un jersey de cuello vuelto, pero es que tampoco puedes, porque tienes la pre-temporada, con artículos veraniegos y ligeros con colores otoñales. Y tienes que volver a pasar por la tienda, esta vez para comprarte el cuello vuelto, en noviembre.
I have been thinking for a while that they are very mean when it comes to giving out fashion, we already have the pre-seasons and seasons, we go to the shops in September (extremely hot down here) and it is almost impossible to get a wool turtle neck sweater, but you can't actually do it, because it's pre-season, you have light clothes in winterly colours. So you need to pay a visit again, in November.

Inversiones de rebajas/ Investments in Sales

Ya han empezado en casi todo el mundo, pero en España oficialmente empiezan el día 7 y hay que ir pensando (si es que se tiene en mente ir de rebajas) cómo sacarle partido a las compras. They have already started in almost the whole world, but in Spain they will oficially start 7th and we should be thinking (in case you are going to the sales) how to take advantage of your purchases.

Normalmente cuando voy de rebajas tengo en cuenta dos factores/ When I go to the sales I usually take two factors into consideration:

• Grandes inversiones o fondos de armario (prendas buenas y caras muy rebajadas o clásicos que nunca caen). Nice investments or basics (good and/or expensive items with a good discount or classics that never pass)
• Prendas que pueden funcionar para la temporada entrante (hay que ir mirando las tendencias de primavera en este caso)/ Items that can be used for the coming season (you must take a look at the SS trends first).

Os he hecho una lista, de los que para mi son unas compras de inversión (muy importante ahora con la crisis invertir en prendas ponibles y que no pasen de moda fácilmente). I have made a list for you of the items, that in my humble opinion, are good investments (it is very important now with the crisis to spend your money in valuable items that do not go out of fashion easily).
