Hace unos meses os presentaba a Víctor M. González (Gente Bastarda). Fotógrafo con ojo de actor, mago de la cámara.
A few months ago I introduced you to the world of Víctor M. González (Gente Bastarda).   Photographer with an eye for the theatrical a master of the camera.

Su imaginación no conoce límites, es capaz de captar desde la mayor de las delicadezas hasta la escena más imposible, fotograma de una película aún por rodar.

His imagination has no limits, he is able to capture the uttermost delicacy to the most impossible scenario, frame from a movie to be filmed.

Hace unos días recogí una prueba fotográfica. Estoy muy contenta. Víctor es el fotógrafo que no te hace posar, que te deja ser tú, que te capta.

Some days ago I collected a photo shoot. I am really pleased. Victor is the kind of photographer that does not make you pose, he lets you be, he captures your real self.

No puedo más que recomendaros visitar su exposición, esta vez en Puebla de la Calzada, Badajoz del 15 al 20 de octubre de 2012.

Botas de agua de lunares/ Polka Dot Rain Boots.

"Al mal tiempo, buena cara", señores.
"Put a brave face on it", ladies and gentlemen.

Los lunares están de moda; siempre lo han estado, en parte. Sin embargo hay temporadas donde pegan fuerte, y ésta es una de ellas. No sé para otros países y culturas, pero en mi tierra (España-Andalucía-Sevilla) los lunares son el arte máximo, la epítome del sentir flamenco.

Polka dots are in style; they have always been somehow. However there are seasons where they take off and this one is one of those seasons. I am not sure about the meaning for other countries or cultures, but in my homeland (Spain-Andalusia-Seville) polka dots are the utmost expression of art, the epitome of the flamenco feeling.

Como sabéis, soy fan de los contrastes (que no todos los accesorios son para combinar, los hay para "complementar"), así que no me pudieron faltar estas botas de agua en mi paso por la ciudad eterna de Córdoba. Piececillos "aflamencaos" cruzando el bosque de columnas de la Mezquita, la Judería y el Alcázar.

As you know, I am a big fan of contrasts (not all accesories are meant to combine but also to make a  contrast) so these rain boots became a must-have during a visit to the eternal city of Cordoba. Trendy little feet with a flamenco touch walking through the forest of columns of la Mezquita, the Judería and the Alcázar.

Entre irreverencias visuales, no es difícil encontrarse rodeado de repente de referencias literarias y cinematográficas (ambas, declaradas pasiones del fotógrafo), simbolismo y realismo.
Among visual irreverencies, it not unlikely to find yourself surrounded of literary and cinematographic references (both, overtly the photographer's passions), simbolism and realism.

Stewart Weir: espíritu y talento.

Hay veces en las que belleza es bipolar. Hay veces en las que la obsesión por captar la luz, deja en un segundo plano a la sombra. Cuando luz y sombra cohabitan dando lugar a un espacio de ambiente, de atmósfera capturada, entonces  podemos apreciar el verdadero valor de la fotografía artística.

Este es el caso de Stewart Weir, nacido en Brighton, Inglaterra. Fotógrafo independiente desde 1993. Ha publicado sus trabajos a nivel internacional en National Geographic Traveller Magazine, Esquire, GQ, Vogue, Stern, Paris Match, etc. Sin contar con sus colaboraciones para más de 40 libros.
