Antes muerta que sencilla/ I'd Rather be Dead than Plain

Los he estrenado hoy y me encantan. Son muy cómodos y muy originales. Os presento, mis nuevos guantes de fregar:

Dice una amiga que son muy "Antes muerta que sencilla" (muy Maria Isabel), y es verdad. Son de Natura, una tienda de ropa y complementos que tiene cosas sorprendentes a veces.

A friend of mine says that they are very "I'd rather be dead than plain" (song title by Maria Isabel) and it's true. They are by Natura, a clothes and accessories shop that is amazing many times.

...o "Historia de un Desamor"/…or “Story of a Disappointment”

Hace dos meses, leyendo un artículo sobre novias, me enamoré de un brazalete dorado, de latón tipo "vintage" con un lazo. Pensé, "lo necesito" "me encanta" y "no he tenido nunca nada de Les Jumelles, y son TAN famosas y tan fashion". Y lo compré y de eso hace más de un mes.

Two months ago, I was reading an article about brides, I fell in love with a Golden brazelet, a brass one, sort of vintage with a ribbon on it. I thought, “I need it” and “I have never had anything by Les Jumelles, and they are so famous and so cool”. I purchased it like more than a month ago.







La compra se realiza y no me llega ningún tipo de comprobante de pedido o de envío. Les escribo un email y me dicen que "la pulsera viene de camino". Tardó más de dos semanas.

Y cuando llega (le llega a mi pareja al trabajo) me llama y me dice "¿esto de verdad vale 25 euros? Si dijeras que lo has comprado en un mercadillo, vale".

Incrédula veo que tenía razón.

The purchase was done and I  had no order or shipping confirmation. I wrote them an email and they told me “it was on its way”. It took more than two weeks.

And when it arrived (my partner receives it at work) he called me and said “is this really worth €25? If you had bought it in a flea market, ok”.

Incredulously, I saw that he was right.

Hace un par de meses, navegando por la web de River Island me encontré con una cartera de mano muy original, en su momento, pensé "¿dónde he visto yo esto antes?".La verdad es que realmente lo había visto antes, en la web de Alexander McQueen. Y es que parece que es de esas tendencias secundarias, de esos diseños que calan a ciertos niveles pero que realmente no están popularizados (¿podemos considerarlo entonces una "tendencia fantasma"?)

A couple of months ago, browsing River Island's web, I found a very original clutch, at that moment I thought "where have I seen this before?". The fact is I had seen it before, in Alexander McQueen's website. This seems to be one of those  secondary trends, of those designs that have an effect at certain levels but they have not become popular (could we consider it then a "phantom trend"?)
