Tendencia fantasma/Phantom Trend: Tapestry Bags.

It has been two years since Gucci took out of the gramma's closet a very cute cushion, made of trimmed tapestry and they created a bag (I would say the "on the seventh day He rested" part were if not for the little succes it had all over these years).

Since then I see tapestry bags in fashion brands websites and in some stores, but I don't see them on the streets.

What happened? In theory they are very casual bags, easy to combine and useful.

Will it be their price? Honestly I am not very diposed to pay much for a fabric bag. Will it be their fabric? If they ever spoil, if they get dirty...

The truth is that behind this tendency there's a huge childhood trauma...Your aunt from the village's couch. Will it look like a DIY? Will people think I'm broken? Will anybody think that my aunt's sofa is missing a piece and I am wearing it hanging by two strips?

I have seen them on the Internet in some commercial fashion brands, such as Miss Selfridge and webs like Asos.

El grande de Miss Selfridge me gusta.

I like this big tote by Miss Selfridge.

El de bandolera, ya no tanto.

The satchel one is not in my whish list at all.

La cartera tiene su encanto, ¿verdad?

The cluth is cute, isn't it?

In Stradivarius we have them available in different models, and same print, but I'd rather not to comment, for Gucci's sake. This, btw, looks like the cover for a flask...

And there's a few of them in Asos. this is very similar to Mary Poppins' (will Miss Andrews be to blame instead of my poor auntie?)

Sentencia, bolsos de tapicería, ¿Sí o no?.

Sentence, tapestry bags, yes or no-way-to-heaven?
