Fragancia creada para YSL por  Honorine Blanc y Alberto Morillas (libanés y sevillano respectivamente, que mucho tienen que saber de sus raíces orientales),  Belle d'Opium se presenta como una fragancia "adictiva que nos trae todo el calor y sensualidad del Oriente" y está pensada para una mujer "ambivalente, escurridiza y obsesiva, poderosa e inquietante, inocente pero peligrosa" y que es y se convierte en inolvidable y única./ Fragrance created for YSL by Honorine Blanc and Alberto Morillas (Lebanese and Sevillian respectively, who have so much to say of their oriental roots), Belle dÓpium is presented as an "addictive scent that carries all the sensuality and heat of the Orient" and it's designed for a woman "full of ambivalence, elusive and obsessive,powerful and troubling, ingenue but dangerous"

El vídeo promocional, interpretado por Mélanie Thierry y bajo las órdenes del coreógrafo Akram Khan, es sugerente y nos muestra a una mujer moderna, de rasgos no propiamente orientales, que somete a los demás bajo su hechizo de poder, su perfume. /The film, performed by Mélanie Thierry with choreography by Akram Khan, it is suggestive and shows us a modern woman, of no particular oriental features, that subdues the others under a power spell, her perfume.

El perfume se describe en la propia web como un "desconcertante hechizo oriental" y "sobredosis de materiales preciosos que lleva al límite de una feminidad casi indecente". According to YSL the perfume is a "bewithching new oriental" and a "overdose of rare and precious ingredients to take extreme femininity to the limits of indecency"


El frasco está inspirado en el  Inrô, un frasco utilizado por los guerreros para transportar medicinas y otros productos. De color azul eléctrico, posee una mecha roja que nos une con su esencia y nos denota un poder altamente peligroso e "inflamable" del perfume.
En el centro de la botella tenemos un sello dorado desde donde el rojo intenso se funde con el azul en un firmamento de cristal. Evocando de una manera clara las mil y una noches y el sol en su puesta, Belle d'Opium nos sumerge en noches infinitas de flores y especias.
The bottle is inspired in the Inrô, a flask used by warriors to transport medicines and other products. In an electric blue, it has a red wick that connects us with its essence and denotates an extremely dangerous and "flammable" of the elixir.
In the middle of the bottle we have a golden stamp where the intense red blends with the blue in a crystal firmament. Clearly evoking One Thousand and One Night and the sunset, Belle d'Opium submerges us into endless nights of flowers and spices.

El perfume es un oriental-floral con la siguiente descripción/ The perfume is a floral-oriental:
NOTAS DE CABEZA: Mandarina, Azucena, Gardenia, Flores Blancas.
TOP NOTES: Mandarin Orange, Lily, Gardenia, White Flowers
NOTAS DE CORAZÓN: Incienso, Melocotón, Pimienta, Tabaco, Acorde Narguilé, Notas Frutales.
MIDDLE NOTES: Frankincense, Peach, Pepper, Tabacco, Hookah Accord, Fruity Notes
NOTAS DE FONDO: Patchuli, Sándalo, Notas Ahumadas, Ambar.
BASE NOTES: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Smoky Notes, Amber.


Las notas amaderadas le dan al perfume un toque masculino y atrevido, no apto para todos los gustos. El patchuli, nota característica de su predecesora, Opium, se mezcla con notas ahumadas y de tabaco (narguilé es un tipo de pipa o shisha).
The wooden notes provide the perfume of a daring and masculine touch, not suitable for all tastes. Patchouly, predominant scent of its predecessor, Opium, mixes with smoked and tobacco accords (narguilé is a kind of water pipe or shisha).
