Hace dos meses, leyendo un artículo sobre novias, me enamoré de un brazalete dorado, de latón tipo "vintage" con un lazo. Pensé, "lo necesito" "me encanta" y "no he tenido nunca nada de Les Jumelles, y son TAN famosas y tan fashion". Y lo compré y de eso hace más de un mes.
Two months ago, I was reading an article about brides, I fell in love with a Golden brazelet, a brass one, sort of vintage with a ribbon on it. I thought, “I need it” and “I have never had anything by Les Jumelles, and they are so famous and so cool”. I purchased it like more than a month ago.
La compra se realiza y no me llega ningún tipo de comprobante de pedido o de envío. Les escribo un email y me dicen que "la pulsera viene de camino". Tardó más de dos semanas.
Y cuando llega (le llega a mi pareja al trabajo) me llama y me dice "¿esto de verdad vale 25 euros? Si dijeras que lo has comprado en un mercadillo, vale".
Incrédula veo que tenía razón.
The purchase was done and I had no order or shipping confirmation. I wrote them an email and they told me “it was on its way”. It took more than two weeks.
And when it arrived (my partner receives it at work) he called me and said “is this really worth €25? If you had bought it in a flea market, ok”.
Incredulously, I saw that he was right.
En un primer momento, la pulsera, un artículo de bisutería, venía en un sobre de pompas, inadecuado a mi entender, porque debido a la manipulación, el artículo se puede ver deteriorado, una cajita habría sido lo adecuado. Y efectivamente, debido a la manipulación el sobre estaba roto, con la forma de la pulsera marcada, un desastre.
First of all, the bracelet, a jewelry item, arrived in an ordinary envelope, to me, inadequate, as because of the handling, the item may be deteriorated, a box would have been perfect. And obviously, because of the shipping, the envelope was broken, even with the shape of the bracelet marked, a mess.
Abro el sobre y la pulsera venía metida en una bolsita de hilo con el logo. La bolsita era demasiado pequeña, tanto que ni cerraba, adecuada, por tanto, para un artículo de dimensiones bastante más pequeñas. De hecho, estaba rota debido a la propia forma de la pulsera.
I opened the envelope and the bracelet was in a little bag with the logo. The bag was too small, so much that you could not close it, adequate, for an item of smaller dimensions. In fact, it was broken due to the shape of the bracelet.
La pulsera estaba arañada por completo. El lazo (ay Dios mío, el lazo! ¿por dónde empiezo?) es una pieza a parte del brazalete, no viene soldado, sino pegado con silicona. Esto de la silicona lo supe porque al no tener el lazo una forma redondeada, un extremo se quedaba totalmente despegado del brazalete, y se veía el pegote. Y sigo con el lazo, que además estaba doblado por una esquina.
The bracelet was scratched all over. The ribbon (oh my Gosh, the ribbon! Where do I start?) is a piece apart from the bracelet, it is not welded to it, but stuck with silicone. I learnt it was silicone because as the ribbon did not hace a rounded shape as the bracelet, a part was totally separated and you could see the dry drop of product. And I go on with the ribbon, that was folded on its side.
En cuanto a la calidad general del producto he de deciros que es el típico artículo que gana en fotos, es de latón, el diseño no es feo, pero es totalmente incómodo y de apariencia poco noble. Nada que una novia pudiera ponerse.
As regards as the general quality of the product, I must admit that it is the typical item that looks nice in the pictures, it is made of brass, the design is ok, but it is uncomfortable and it has a little noble look. Nothing a bride would wear.
Les escribo, mandándoles las mismas fotos que publico en este post, enumerándoles la lista de desperfectos y carente atención al público, y aluden a la "mala suerte" que hemos tenido en la compra y aceptan la devolución.
El brazalete les llega a Lleida el 18 de noviembre. Una semana y pico después les escribimos reclamando la devolución del dinero y nos dicen que lo van a hacer es esa misma semana, y no lo hacen.
Hemos reclamado a Paypal y no se hacen cargo, ya que se trata de un producto defectuoso (sólo se hacen cargo de envíos no llegados).
I wrote them an email, sending them the same pictures uploaded in this post, making a list of all the faults and the inexistent customer service policy, and they blamed “the bad luck” that we had in this purchase and they agreed to the refund.
The bracelet arrived at Lleida (Catalonia) on November 18th A week or so later, we emailed them again to complain and to demand the refund and they told us the refund would be made in that week, but it wasn’t.
We have sent a formal complaint to Paypal but according to their policy, they can’t cover faulty items, but only delayed and missing shippings.
De toda esta historia no comprendo cómo determinadas webs, revistas y bloggers recomiendan esta firma. Sinceramente, sospecho que es la sombra de la publicidad, y no precisamente la experiencia personal, la que planea sobre todo este asunto. De acuerdo que el brazalete estuviese en mal estado, pero ¿y todo lo demás?. ¿Con todos los demás han sido, puntuales y serios, excepto con nosotros?
From all this story I honestly do not understand how certain webs, magazines and bloggers recommend this brand. I really can see the shadow of the advertising ,and little of personal experience, hovering over us. I agree with the idea that the bracelet could be faulty, but what about the rest? They have been serious, punctual with everybody except with us?

The picture from their website is quite creepy though. Where is my money, "little twins"?
EDITO/EDIT: Después de casi un mes (y varios emails) desde que recibieron la pulsera, HOY, hemos recibido al devolución. After a month (an several emails) since they got the bracelet back, we have finally got our refund TODAY.
