Champú y mascarilla de argán | Biokera by Salerm

Hi there my little zebras,

Today's post is a little bit different than the previous ones, it is about the argan shampoo and hair mask by Biokera.

Biokera is a range of hair productos made with organic ingredients within Salem. The philosophy of this range is to use certain products and their benefits for different kind of hair and needs. They don't use formaldehydes, parabens or paraffins (they don't say anything on the web about silicones or sulfates).

I learnt about this brand at the beauty trade fair Expobelleza Andalusia last year and I loved their philosophy. We were given some complimentary products which suited our needs and kind of hair. Mine is dry hair from middle to ends and olily at the roots so I chose the argan shampoo and hair mask.

El Champú/ The Shampoo

So so, to be honest. It is a clear product with a light floral fragrance (the kind of Eau de Rochas but watery), it is very liquid, and it barely foams, so it is difficult to spread and wash the hair. Besides, I have a very dense mane so it makes it even worse.

To me what is essencial for a shampoo is to clean my hair thoroughly. it is not that important to have hydration at that stage as I consider there are other products aimed to achieve that, such as masks, serums, etc. I could barely get a nice fresh and clean hair with this shampoo.

To me it is a product to avoid.

La Mascarilla/ The Mask

I quite like the results I achieved with this mask. It comes in a handy packaging because it lets you dose the product accurately, without putting your fingers in the pot, etc. It leaves your hair hydrated and soft.

But, what it the problem then? The fragrance, well, to say "fragrance" is positive for the smell you get. I can't describe what it smells like but it is a mixture of gasoline, plastic and barbecue coal. It smells awful, it is kind of smoky (no smoked fish or whatsoever, but the "nasty" smell in the BBQ) but in the bad sense. It is quite shocking to be having your shower surrounded with nice smells from gels and such and then, the terrible scent of this mask spreading all over. The smell is very strong and although it goes when the hair is dry, what you get in the process is quite displeasing.

Due to the terrible smell and as there are more complete products in the market I will not get it.

I would like to add that Salerm products are not that easy to find. I normally get all my beauty and bath products in drugstores and pharmacies and these are only sold on some hairdressers.

¿Conocéis Salerm?

Do you know Salerm?

A mi me huele a macho, XDDD.
